Kite Dream

I felt float less, and then there was nothing. Suddenly I was in a green field. The grass swayed back and forth from left to right. The wind seemed breezier than ever today. I heard a noise and looked to the right and there it was, a huge flock of kites coming towards me. I ran as fast as I could, my arms reaching outward. It became more and more difficult to move, due to the uncomfortable dress shoes I was wearing that came along with my purple shirt and my long flowy skirt. By now, the kites had changed their course of direction and I ran faster, trying to reach them. They were of all shapes and sizes and about eleven of them in total. The shades of yellow, blue, purple, and green got away with their endless ribbons trailing off. The outcome there of was completely the opposite, the kites moved even quicker now, a tree far out in the distance stood in the midst. I hoped the ribbons would fly low enough to get caught in it. I was at a close proximity to the flowy ribbons. I saw the shapes: the fish, the bumble bee, the two doves, the circle, the butterfly, and star; all different pictures painted on the front of each kite. In front of me, out of nowhere appeared a picket fence which I hoped not to run into as I made my way closer and closer to the dreamy kites. I reached a little more and I felt its smoothness and waviness, what I didn’t realize was the speed of the winds at this moment, the breeze has seemingly lifted me off the ground. As I looked back, my shoe was slowly falling off. It was hanging on to the tip of my toe now. I didn’t change my grip on the kites though; the dreamy kites would all be mine.
